The amount of rent you are required to pay is dependent on your Income. Arethusa offers Rental Assistance thru the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Thru this program, residents Pay 30% of their net income as calculated by HUD requiremenents.
Electricity, Water, Sewer, Trash, Lawn Care are all included in your monthly Rent. Residents are responsbile for Telephone, Cable TV and Internet, should they choose.
All Residents must be in compliance with the Tenant Selection and Screening Policy (A copy of which is available upon request. Maximim Income Limitations apply. All Households require a person 62 years of age or older, or disabled as part of the household.
Due to the limited availablilty, all new residents are selected from the waiting list. Applications for the waiting are accepted by appointment only. The policy for selection of new residents from the waiting list will be from oldest applicant to newest, except where the applicant is eligble for a Preference as defined by the Tenant Selection and Screening Policy.
Arethusa Springs participates in the HUD Project Based Rental Assistance Program in which the Rental Assistance is attached to the apartment. Therefore, Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers or other forms of "Portable Rental Asssitance" are not accepted. Applicants with Section 8 Vouchers must return those vouchers to the issuing authority prior to admittance.
